Staff is amazing. Brian and Cesar especially just the best. But all are great. Hotel is quaint and cute. They have a beautiful front “porch” great for enjoying nightly cocktails from the bar. We had a room near an external door and the door was constantly slamming. I’d avoid that room or any near it.Location is great. Short walk to the streetcar and a handful of tasty places including the cafe across the street. Yes please. Thank you for a wonderful trip.
We spent 1 night, for the end of our honey moon in the US before heading back to Paris. The room was so cozy, we slept so well! And the staff was extremely nice and friendly, really kind. Thanks to them, our stay was more than amazing 🙂
My husband and I stayed at the Henry Howard Hotel for our first kid-free trip in nearly 9 years! First off, our flight was delayed. I was worried about getting in late night, BUT Bryan was there to greet us. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail is the main take-way, the King Superior room was larger than I thought, the bed so comfortable, the stylish art A+, the coffee was even the best I have ever had at a hotel. We had a wonderful 4 romantic days. I cannot wait for the next trip already planned for September! (Also shared on Trip Advisor).
My husband and I recently stayed at the Henry Howard Hotel. We had a wonderful experience. The room was clean, cozy, and cute. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. We highly recommend the hotel, and when we return to New Orleans, we will definitely stay here again.
Most Amazing Weekend!!Our daughter got engaged during Covid and so the planning started for a 2022 Wedding!! We decided toBook the Wedding Party Stay at the Henry Howard! Suzanne was our North Star!! Her expertise was exactly what we needed being so far out and so far away! The Henry Howard presents beauty, character, a classic time piece which has been preserved by the people who most love her , the people who work there! They take great pride in keeping her that way. We were made to feel at home! Their kindness, warmth and knowledge from the day we got there and throughout our stay was stellar! Which really says a lot about how they are taken care of! You’ve got an Amazing Home there with amazing people! The Wedding was magical and The Henry Howard was a big part of it!! Looking forward to coming back!! Thank you Suzanne for everything!!So appreciative for you and your staff!Teresa Reynolds
The absolute best of the best! Alison and the entire staff made us feel like family the minute we walked through the door. The rooms are stunning and the location is perfect! We can't wait to come back to the Gold Coast!
I’m staying at the Viceroy for the 2nd time as part of a mother-daughter trip with my teenager. I’m disappointed to say my experience this time has been diminished by some recent changes in how it’s managed and operated. I chose to stay at the Viceroy for its fabulous location—walkable to so many great restaurants, shopping, and the beach! But also for its incredible rooftop pool. Unfortunately, the pool is overcrowded this year because the hotel has 1/3 of the seating blocked off to guests, and the rooftop bar and restaurant is closed during the day! My other mom friend and I have had to elevator down in our swimming suits to the street level restaurant next door in order to get a simple cocktail-to-go. For how much money we spend a night here, the stripping away of these lovely amenities—bar service and adequate seating for guests—I would not choose to stay here again if the management doesn’t improve this! The rooftop bar for poolside refreshments, towel station, and seating is built into this hotel already—all you need is staff to open it up. I’m very disappointed.
I visited the Viceroy for a work conference. What an excellent stay! The staff is professional and appears to be genuinely happy to have you as a guest. All meals I had were , especially cocktails on the roof, very high-quality. The rooms were very clean and had nice amenities, including great coffee. I would highly recommend staying at the Viceroy.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The Viceroy Hotel in Chicago stands as the epitome of luxury. Over the years, we've had the pleasure of staying here multiple times, celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, and each visit only solidifies its position as the best luxury hotel we've ever experienced.Consistent visits, 2-3 times a year, have been met with unwavering exceptional service. The staff always goes the extra mile, surprising us with thoughtful room upgrades or delightful treats to commemorate our special occasions. The elegance of the rooms is unparalleled – beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and exuding an ambiance of sheer luxury. I must note the color design and accent design is simply stunning. Besides the impressive decor, the service remains top-notch, and the room service food is nothing short of outstanding. We eagerly anticipate our next stay. If you're seeking an unmatched luxury experience in Chicago, the Viceroy Hotel is the place to be!
We personally wouldn’t recommend staying at the Viceroy Chicago. The rooms were not the cleanest and just seemed to have some quality issues for a 5 star hotel. As an example, when stepping out of the shower I went to wipe up the floor and the towel was left brown. When spending nearly $500 a night, there are better places to stay in our opinion. The in room dining was the most upsetting part for the price you pay. On the upside the staff has been friendly throughout our stay.
I stayed here this last weekend for a music fest. David was outstanding and helped us throughout our stay. Total class act, super down to earth and kept us laughing. His service was top notch and other staff was the same. Definitely recommend!
This review comes on behalf of my mom, but I totally agree with her review. A+ weekend experience.I want to give a five-star review to The Viceroy Hotel in Chicago. My family stayed there over Labor Weekend for my son’s wedding and it was nothing short of amazing. The hotel is gorgeous, especially the rooftop pool and bar! Each staff member was kind and professional, however I want to give a huge thank you to Alison Theurea the Guest Relations Manager. She extended herself to all of us for the weekend and her kind ways and thoughtfulness was appreciated by the bride and groom. We thank you for making our experience at The Viceroy a wonderful one!
Absolutely stunning, my Husband and I are staying three nights here and he has been so excited since we walked into the room. It’s beautiful and though we have stayed in other hotels here in Chicago, this has definitely topped all of our experiences. It’s nice, cozy and a welcoming luxurious environment. I know we’ll be back soon.
Over all great stay! The food menu at the pool sucks and the pool is rather small, also the amount of kids In pool , ruined the relaxing experience. Cameron at the pool deserves Recognition . He is very kind, helpful and on top of his job!
This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. The art deco decor is stunning, visually there is so much to look at. This isn't your cookie cutter interior design. Amazing light fixtures, fabrics, walls, and objects. The staff is incredibly welcoming and professional going above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need. We got complimentary prosecco as soon as we checked in. The rooms are large and the views of the lake and city line are incredible. Huge windows. Heavy blackout shades. Large bathroom and generous vanity and tub/showers. My only minor complaint is around the weak shower water pressure.
Pretty rooms, very stylish, great staff. They offer no items that travelers will obviously need. At $700 per night I shouldn't be walking to Walgreens at 5 am to get Tums. How are they not offering what every Holiday Inn Express offers?
I stayed here 5 days/nights in June '23. Very nice hotel with great views on the lakeside. Rooms are very clean and modern with great minibar. Bedding is comfortable and plush. The room lighting is incredible.Be careful when exiting the elevator on the hotel floors as the corridor walls and couffered ceiling is striped and may be disorienting.
The view from my room sucked, it was concrete, but the hotel room is nice and the shower looks big so I’m still happy. It was my birthday and they gave a complementary bottle of champagne and chocolate which I really appreciated because I came alone. The customer service was great all around. I like the bar on the 18th floor. It’s very busy on the weekends. I had a good time up there. I came during the cold season, so I can’t say much about the pool.
Had a grand king lake view on the 16th floor for a quick getaway and our experience was great. The staff was attentive, remembered us by name when we walked in from an evening out, and was quite courteous throughout our stay. The views of the city and what you could see of the lake did not disappoint. I love how the windows are angled in such a way as to give you multiple wide viewing angles and the sunrise over the lake was beautiful. Loved the snacks/drinks and the nicest surprise was the heated floors in the bathroom. I thought the bed and linens were comfy too and everything was very clean.
Absolutely loved this place. It was so cute and smelled so good! It was recently updated and feels very modern. Loved the Nespresso machine in the room and it was so easy to stream to the TV from our phones. The shower was heaven and water was nice and hot. We booked through hoteltonight and got a great deal. We even got our room upgraded for free--needless to say, the staff was great and really attentive. The rooftop is lovely and when we went it was October, so they even gave us blankets. Would definitely stay here again. There is valet, but it was kinda pricey, so we opted to park in a garage not far from the hotel.
